The LOT software is a web application. It is based on TKL. TKL is a framework where web content is generated from XSLT stylesheets and XML documents.
Unlike basic TKL, the LOT software uses a number of handlers to get information from TLDD, the MySQL database that contains information about the targets to be searched.
The LOT software also uses advanced JavaScript techniques to achieve a user-friendly search interface that retrieves results from a number of resources and displays them with dynamic updates. Most importantly, the user can see results from the first databases before remaining databases have responded.
