Please forgive my tardy response to your message. I was in the middle of some very pressing Department matters. Yes, I indeed was. I have known Dr. Norman Silberling since the summer of 1976. I have, personally, absolutely no reason to expect anything less than professional objectivity from him, in ALL matters. Yes, I was aware that a recent volume was dedicated to him. If I had a volume dedicated to me, that and $2.25 might get me a vente coffee at Starbucks, as far as I personally am concerned. I will assert on a stack of manuscripts dedicated to her holiness the Flying Spaghetti Monster that I had absolutely NO other information about Dr. Silberling, including any interactions with anyone in the State of New Mexico, other than he had recently retired from the USGS, as I saw him at a GSA meeting a few years ago. Simple as that. For the record, I suggested that the DCA include numerous geoscientists in this inquiry. Please feel free to quote any or all of this! John John W.
