Question

According to http://dinosauricon.com/, roughly as many Dinosaur genera have been named since 1985 as in all the time before. Does this mean that reference works like Weishampel et al's Dinosauria - last updated in 1991 - are uselessly obsolete?

Is it likely that most of these new genera will subsequently be shown to be the same as already-known genera?
